80s Kids Tacoma Concert reviews
Jackson Browne...mediocre at best
In Baltimore in August 2026, I saw him and he was amazing, a huge 80s Kids fan...from when I saw him in 1982, hadn't skipped a beat! Unfortunately, his show at DPAC the other night was the farthest thing from amazing (other than the venue itself). He played for 2 hours and played 4 recognizable songs: Rosie, Shakey Town, Runnin' on Empty (last song in the set) & Take it Easy (encore; co-written by him and Glen Frey & made famous by the Eagles). Several people around us left mid-concert and when he finally played Runnin' on Empty, he got a rousing standing ovation...too bad it was his last song. At $80 per ticket, don't you think someone with 40 years of hit songs should give the people what they want? In 1982, he did and that ticket was $9.50...yes, I still have it. I realize these are different times, but come on Jackson, play to your audience. After all, without us, where would you be?"
